Bone Cancer Research Foundation is a young, non-profit foundation initiated to increase the awareness of bone tumors affecting large numbers of people, both young and old, and to support research into causes of bone cancers and their treatments.

 
A Message From Our Founder... Francesca's Story...
 

We are a non-profit foundation created to raise public awareness about bone cancer and to support research into improving diagnosis, treatment and cure. Approximately 2,500 new cases of primary bone cancer are diagnosed each year in the U.S. With your help, we can continue to aid research into better diagnosis, treatment and cure and provide more effective support and education for patients.

Interview with Rakesh Donthineni
   

Francesca Arnaudo is a girl who defies odds. At age 6 she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer that afflicts only three in every million children ages 14 and under. At age 8, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a white- blood cell malignancy that occurs as a side effect of treatment in just one in every 100 children who have undergone chemotherapy.

Now, at age 9, the tenacious brown-eyed girl is free of both cancers. [more...]
